Meet our Models: Sympli Muse, Loris
Meet Loris, coined Sympli’s Miss 2017. We were introduced to Loris through our local community, and it didn’t take us long to realize she was a perfect fit! She is the type of woman who lights up a room with her elegance and grace, bringing along an infectious energy wherever she goes We could not think of anyone better suited to embody the Sympli brand and its values.
S: We’ve loved working with you in our photoshoots! Can you tell us about being a model for Sympli?
L: Before the first photoshoot I was absolutely terrified. Although I am an outgoing person, I am shy in front of the camera and I suffer from stage fright! Sometimes I find it hard to put myself out there. When I was asked to be in the photoshoot I thought to myself, “what’s the worst that can happen?” I decided to do it by taking it on as a new challenge. On set, everyone was so fabulous to work with and I had so much fun! The clothes were so beautiful and after the shoot was over, I felt totally empowered.
S: What does modeling for Sympli mean to you?
L: Modelling for Sympli was such an amazing experience. I had the opportunity to step outside of my comfort zone, and explore new possibilities. Also, with a love for the fashion industry, I got a chance to really see behind the scenes, which was amazing!
S: How would you define ‘true beauty’?
L: I feel a woman is at her most beautiful when she is her authentic self; when she exudes kindness, warmth and confidence. I feel the most beautiful when I am fully present, and fully engaged.
S: You have a natural sense of style. Who would you say is your inspiration?
L: So many women like Coco Chanel, Dianne von Furstenberg, and Donna Karan. These women captured how the ladies of the day wanted to look and feel; they have a naturally classic aesthetic.
S: How would you describe your style?
L: My style is understated, and monochromatic. I like clean lines, and the juxtaposition of hard and soft. I feel good in tailored jackets with something that will drape around my body underneath.
S: Is there something you’d like to see change in the fashion industry?
L: I would love to see women of the ages of 40, 50, 60 or even 70 walking the runways. I want to see older women rock those clothes and show the world what we have to offer.
S: How do you feel about aging?
L: With age comes wisdom. It is the ability to feel total acceptance of myself and my body. I honor that wisdom. I no longer care what anyone thinks of me and dance to my own beat.
S: If you had one message for all women, what would it be?
L: Always trust yourself. Your intuition never lies.
